If you are passing to Da Nang, you will have lots of choice when it comes to cafes, the city is filled with small establishments full of charm. You will find in this travel guide some useful information for your visit to Da Nang city, in central Vietnam.

GO

How to get from Tam Coc to Da Nang: We traveled by night bus and it was 290,000 VND per person.

How to get from Da Nang to Hoi An: We left Da Nang during a very special event (APEC) where all public transports were not available. So, we had to take a cab and we paid 300,000 VND. It took us about 30 minutes.,

Da Nang Vietnam budget Hotel

SLEEP

Bookaholic : This is a very cheap hostel, with great decoration, a beautiful room but it was not super clean. I mean, we found lot of hairs from the previous customer, Q-tip under the bed and dirty sheets.  Although, we have to say that the staff is super nice, they are always there to help us if something was missing. It was only 10$US per night with a “balcony”, private bathroom, hot water but the breakfast was not included. This place is far from downtown, but is right next to the bus station.

Danang Bay Hotel: This hotel is situated right in front of the ocean. Therefore, it is far from the city centre again. The room was great, clean, well decorated with a great bathroom. The bed of the standard room on the 1st floor wasn’t comfy. We could feel the springs in the mattress. We paid 21$ CND per night.

Six on Six: This is a great cafe, hidden in a very quiet street. The good news is, they also offer 2 rooms through Airbnb. Great big rooms and awesome common area with an asian style. The place is absolutely gorgeous.

Da Nang Street Food

EAT

Nhân Meo: This restaurant was next to the bookaholic Hostel and as it was raining, we ended up there. The menu was in Vietnamese. We ordered fried noodles seafood. They were actually very good. This restaurant is a recommendation if you are staying at the bookaholic and you don’t want to go downtown. If you are ooking for local gem, this is it.

Six on Six : Great place to enjoy western food. The breakfast burritos is awesome and they were working on a delicious quesadilla. The decoration is great and the staff is super nice.

Tacos Ngon: They have very good tacos, a bit expensive for Vietnam, but western food is always more expensive. If you are tired of the Pho, go there. It is right next to Six on Six cafe. It was 35,000 VND per tacos in Nov 2017.

Bà Mua, My Quan:  This was a restaurant we found out of luck, the My Quang was great. It is a cheap eat, backpacker style.

While in Da Nang, you have to try the Mi Quang, Banh Xeo and the Nem Lui Hue. This is the central Vietnam food and they are very tasty.

Da Nang Cafes

CAFES

Six on Six: This cafe was our first discovery. We liked it so much that we spent the day chatting with the owners (an American and a Vietnamese) And most importantly, the food tasted like home and the coffee were delicious. In other words, it was awesome, you can’t miss the breakfast burritos. Beautiful deco, somewhat comforting with table bench and sofas.  We loved it.

Why Roastery: This is place is super bright. This is the consequance od having windows on three walls. They specialize in coffee and they have all the different instruments used in the preparation and tasting. We loved their filter coffee, it was delicious. This is a pretty cafe, we enjoyed our working day here.

March Rojo Coffee: This 2 floors cafe is as charming as the 2 others, although much larger with vintage decor.  We felt at home. The Pineapple & coconut juice is delectable and the cafe latte cafe excellent . If you are a digital Nomad and you are looking for a place to work, this is your place.

TO DO

Unfortunatly, we were in Da Nang during  Damrey Typhoon.  As a result, we didn’t much except touring the Cafés and eat in restaurants. We heard that Da Nang is known for his street food scene. So, check that out.
